Hmm, I wonder how much it would cost to move over to England

Lotus car company or Lotus F1 team.
If it's the car company then that's a very good thing. It means they're cooking something up.

Cost of the ticket
£5000 per month for a London micro-studio
£100/month for cosmetics so you always look good for CCTV
£25 anytime you want to drive in London
50%+ of your income in taxes
£OMGWTF if you want to drive something with eight cylinders

No way I'd want to live in London (or any city for that matter), Lotus cars is in a pretty rural area from my understanding.

Good benefits but the employee weight loss program is a killer.

Cheer up, they could always open up some positions in their Ann Arbor branch. On second thought, that would mean living in Michigan.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to subject any of my vehicles to Michigan winters.

From Wiki: "The village gave its name to the former RAF Hethel airbase, which has been the location of the Head Office and factory of Lotus Cars [2] since the 1960s."

Seriously Lotus Cars is in the middle of nowhere. Like think of England's Wyoming! I've already got a sweet job over here but I don't think I could ever move to where they are based! That being said if you don't mind a 3 hour commute every day you're welcome to crash on my sofa!

I don't know if you can get a work permit, but if you can, do it. Norfolk has a bit of a reputation for being inbred and generally backwards (that's not entirely undeserved) but it's also one of the loveliest parts of England, as well as being fairly affordable - or very affordable compared to London.
I don't know what it's like wherever you're from, but I consider rent of under £1k a month for a really nice smaller house to be very good indeed. You could easily pay less than £500 a month round there for somewhere perfectly acceptable, and considerably less than that for somewhere basic.
Another plus side to being out in Norfolk is that car insurance will be much cheaper than in London, so you could probably afford to insure a nice car. Petrol for it will cost a fortune, though.
In terms of nightlife, Norfolk's basically a dead zone if you don't have a sister to shag. Lots of nice local pubs in small towns and villages which are typically perfectly nice places to have a drink on a Saturday night, but there's no late-night stuff. Norwich is nominally a city, but is basically just a large town. Plenty of vomit slicks on a Saturday night, not much else. Only a couple of hours from London for a weekend trip or something, though. Good restaurants are also few and far between. I live in London and go to Norfolk for a bit of peace and quiet, so I'm quite happy when I'm there - but that's why I live in London...
Norfolk's best bits are scenery and nature and that kind of thing. You've got the North Norfolk Coast, which is an officially designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty , and the Norfolk Broads , which are basically a national park, within touching distance of each other. As well as more than a few really fantastic beaches, the coastline has an incredible density of nature reserves, Sites of Special Scientific Interest, and so-on. The Broads are close enough to Hethel to live there, and because there are so few jobs about you can live in one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in England for not very much money.
I found a couple of places that look quite nice round there:

Yeah, don't think I could do 3hr per day. Hell, I moved closer to my current job because I didn't like the 1 hour commute.
